History of Alpha Sofas
Alpha Sofas, formerly known as Guan Chee; was established in 1991 by Mr. H.P. Yap, a man with over one century of expansive experience in this field. His experience in this industry enables him to be acquainted with every detailed procedures of making a couch. Furthermore, his inclination over his work is one to be praised for. Through his involvement in many exhibitions, his perceptive of couch never lay back. Catching up with the latest trend and hoping to produce a comfortable couch is always the meaning behind his work. Every model, colour and fabric is distinctively chosen by Mr Yap himself.
Introduction of ijia
Ijia is a brand name recently introduce by Alpha Sofas. ‘Family’ is the statement which inspires Mr Yap who hence created the name ijia. There are two hidden meaning behind the name ‘ijia’. The alphabet ‘i’ can be read as love in Chinese while the word ‘jia’ stands for family therefore the combination ‘love family’. With the translation of ijia into ‘love family’ has thus created the combination of Western-Chinese. The main principle of ijia is to provide utmost comfort in all their product since family gives people a soothing sensation.
Location
Alpha Sofas is divided into two branches, one in Malaysia and another in China (Guan Chee).
- The Malaysia branch is located in Sungai Buloh, one of the well known ‘Furniture Street’ in Malaysia.
- The China branch is located in Guang Dong province.
